Old Bank, Prickwillow

Prickwillow is a small hamlet east of the City of Ely, Cambridgeshire, and is host to a number of very interesting award winning Homes. Prickwillow falls within the Parish of the City of Ely. Old Bank was indeed the original bank of the River Great Ouse before the river was re-routed as part of the Fenland drainage scheme.

The house on this plot has been styled to blend in with the surrounding properties. It has been built in ICF (Insulated Concrete Formers).  This building system creates a solid structure with low maintenance and excellent insulation values.  The very low running cost of the air-source heating system coupled with concrete floors on both levels allows under-floor heating throughout open plan spaces.  There is provision for a central multi-fuel stove.  The lifetime carbon footprint of this building has been addressed and we are confident that the building not only looks good but will prove very economical to maintain.
